Frequently Asked Questions
Click! Colours is a tool to understand why people behave the way they do. Personality is each person’s individual way of thinking, feeling, and behaving influences by our genetics and experiences. Click! Colours is a tool to help you understand yourself and others, it is not a ‘test’ as such as it does not produce a report and does not provide a clinical diagnosis. The Self-Discovery approach allows each person to self-identify avoiding strict labels and boxes.
There is limited comparison between most personality tools on the market. Human beings are complex people and most personality tools are also complex. They require the answering of hundreds of questions to produce a multi-page report that tells you who you are. Many people struggle to understand the report and apply the insights it gives. Plus, in these reports people only learn about themselves, they have little if any insight into the other people on their team. Click! Colours is very different. It takes all the complexity of being human and distils it into something that is practical, understandable and accessible. Click! Colours is a simple tool that makes the complex easy to understand. The four colours are easy to remember, easy to recall and create a common language within the workplace. Click! Colours uses a Self-Discovery approach and does not require computer logins, does not give you a multi-page report and the Self-Discovery approach recognises that we can change our behaviour and responses based on the environment or situations we are in. Click! Colours helps understand why we, and others, behave the way we do in certain situations.
Click! Colours was developed by Greg Barnes and David Koutsoukis in 2008. Greg and David had years of experience using different personality tools and always found that they were quite complex, labelled people, and did not cater to the different roles or situations people were in. They conducted research on over 57 different tools that used the four quadrants to categorise people, starting back with early theology. They took the best of all of the different tools to make one that was easy to use, simple to understand, quick to complete and better value for money. See our eBook The Evolution of Click! Colours on our website.
Although Click! Colours was developed in Perth, Western Australia it is being used in the Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, United States, Scotland, and New Zealand.
